What I love about Lisbon is the wide culinary offer and brunch is one of its highlights. There are lots of cute cafés where you can enjoy a delicious brunch.

I will distribute them in areas of Lisbon so you can search the best brunches in the area you are staying or you want to visit.

Cais do Sodré area and surroundings

Café Janis

A beautiful space where you can have nutritious granola or açai for breakfast. As an alternative, you can come later in the day, as it is open until 1 a.m., and you will be able to have most of their dishes at any time! So, hey, no judgements if you feel like eating a brunch dish in the evening.

Leitaria Lisboa

If you are looking forward to a perfect brunch without breaking the bank, then this is your spot! Very affordable dishes with the best quality.

Dear Breakfast

A cute spot with a minimalist decoration. You can choose between the breakfast or the brunch menu, the latter being more consistent. They have a huge variety of eggs and, the good thing is that you can choose any of them for your brunch menu or, if you are not that hungry, order them alone.

Nicolau Lisboa

One of the trendiest brunch spots in Lisbon. The interiors are gorgeously designed and the food will leave you without words!

Basilio Lisboa

Bowls, toasts, a brunch menu, eggs, pancakes… everything a brunch can offer you! You can’t miss this spot while you are discovering the central part of Lisbon.


If you want to discover a different spot, this is your place. Kaffeehaus is a café in which you can try Austrian specialtie. The brunch dishes will allow you to try schnitzel, apfelstrudel, sachertorte, sausages… simply delicious!

Cotidiano Lisboa

This spot is located in the heart of the town, you’ll even be able to see the typical tramways while you enjoy a delicious brunch. Don’t miss their pancakes and their healthy fruit bowls.

Heim Café

You can choose one of their brunch menus, which include from eggs to orange juice or, you can choose individual dishes. They have eggs, toasts, sandwiches, desserts… definitely, everything you expect from a brunch.

It is such its popularity that there are normally queues outside, so make sure to come early because you wouldn’t want to miss this spot!

Fauna and Flora

If you are into healthy food, this is the place to go. They have a huge variety of dishes: granola and fruit bowls, pancakes, toasts, eggs, salty bowls… and even burgers! You won’t be disappointed with their well-prepared dishes. Besides, it is a really cozy and good-cared spot.

Chérie Paloma

It is owned by the owners of Dear Breakfast, but the difference here is the Mexican dishes on the menu. Nachos, burritos, quesadillas… if you are into Mexican food, this will be your perfect brunch spot.

São Bento area and surroundings

Bowls & Bar

I love when a café is beautiful and cozy, eating becomes a much more enjoyable experience. And, this is the perfect spot for that. As the name makes you guess, bowls are the main highlight; you can find granola and fruit bowls, as well as lunch bowls. Thus, no matter what you feel like eating, you can always come here.

The Mill

Delicious brunch dishes to which you can add all the extras you want. Try their specials, unique dishes that you will love. It is a perfect spot for vegetarians, as they have many dishes for them.

They have two cafés, one in São Bento and another in Cais do Sodré.

Zenith Brunch & Cocktails 

I’m in love with their huge pancakes. You can also delight their toasts and bagels, a must place to go! Its first café was opened in Porto and it was such its success that they have opened one in Lisbon and even another in Madrid!


They have three options of brunch menu and three options of breakfast menu. If you prefer to order individual dishes, they have a very complete menu with everything you could ask for. Bagels, sandwiches, eggs, coffee, pastries, burgers, toasts, salads… it will be a bit of a hard decision 😉

Kafeine Coffee & Brunch 

It is situated inside Tivoli Forum, a luxury shopping center, so it is a bit of a hidden place. Try their delicious dishes while you chill in this spot.

Seagull Method

This is a minimalist café from the owner of Heim Café, so you can expect the same quality in its food and the cared interiors. They have two different options of weekend brunch menu that include certain drinks unlimitedly! Apart from this, they have various breakfast dishes that are really good.

Alfama area and surroundings

Quase café

Right in the heart of Alfama, this spot is waiting for you. They have seven different brunch menus! For all the tastes, so you will find your ideal brunch here. Natural juices, smoothies, croissants… take me there!

Augusto Lisboa

Come to this cozy little café of bohemian atmosphere and delight their amazing brunch menus and dishes. This spot is also an art gallery with painting ready to sell. Ideal for a brunch break after visiting Castelo de São Jorge!

Maria Limão

Just a stroll from Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, so it is perfect for boosting your energy after walking up to the miradouro. Different healthy options at a good price.  Don’t miss their homemade lemonade and their delicious cakes!

This café is well-known for its quality coffee, but besides that, you can enjoy a really good brunch. They have single dishes and brunch menus including toasts, eggs, juice…

Rolls Brunch & Café 

A calm and cute spot where you must try their famous rolls, salty or sweet; they have many different ones that you would like to try them all.

Campo de Ourique area and surroundings 

Amelia Lisboa

A cute spot perfect for having a brunch that will catch your eye. I love its decoration and all their dishes look that they have just come out of Pinterest. Be cautious of not spending more time taking pictures than enjoying the food. 😉 

However, it is not just a beautiful café, their food is tremendously delicious. 

Raffi’s Bagels

If you love bagels (honestly – who doesn’t?) you will love this spot. They have a brunch menu, salty and sweet bagels and their novel pizzabagels!

Hygge Kaffe 

Hygge is a Danish philosophy that believes that enjoying those cozy and comfortable little things that make us happy is the secret to achieving utter happiness. They wanted to bring to Lisbon a bit of that philosophy, including Nordic specialties, such as smørrebrød (bread toast with butter), cinnamon rolls or Danish pancakes.

The highlights are their delicious crepes and yummy homemade cakes. The café has a chilled atmosphere so that you can fully enjoy the moment.
