There are many Santorini sailing tours that go around Greek Islands. There are tours that only go locally around Santorini and through the caldera and then there are those that “hop” to different Greek Islands with a stop in Santorini. In general, they companies use small 8-10 berth yachts for these tours.

Most multi-island itineraries usually stop by at Greece’s party island, Mykonos. These tours are small group tours so you’ll be with 6-8 other people in general.

Tips

It’s not a good idea to pick a cruise that just stops by the island of Santorini. There’s so much to do in Santorini that stopping by for just a few hours is a waste. It always better to stay the night here or plan an entirely different trip. Santorini is one of the best islands in Greece. It’ll be a waste not to be able to experience it.

On sailing tours, you get to reach islands that not normally on tourists’ radar, and they won’t be so crowded. You also get to spend more time in Santorini than in any other islands. Most tours like these begin or end in Santorini.

That’s perfect because Santorini is one of Greece’s most eventful islands. It will always take more than just a few hours to make the most of it. Unlike sailing tours, there aren’t cruises that begin and end in Santorini. They just casually stop by for a short time. It’s better to plan an entirely separate trip to the island.
